Research Overview

Semax (Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro) is a synthetic heptapeptide combining an ACTH fragment with the C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro (PGP) tripeptide. Preclinical and Russian-language clinical literature describe neuroprotective and cognitive effects, and it has been used clinically in Russia for neurological conditions. Independent large-scale human efficacy data are limited and Semax is not FDA-approved.
