Research Overview
Pinealon is a synthetic tripeptide (Glu-Asp-Arg; EDR) studied primarily in Russian preclinical literature as a putative geroprotector. Animal and cell studies report antioxidant, anti-apoptotic, and neuroprotective effects, including protection during experimental prenatal hyperhomocysteinemia. Human evidence is very limited and pinealon is not an approved drug.
