Research Overview
Hexarelin is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP) that stimulates GH release by acting at the ghrelin/GHS receptor pathway (distinct from GHRH receptor agonists). Human studies confirm GH, prolactin, ACTH, and cortisol release, and intranasal hexarelin was studied in short children. Evidence is primarily diagnostic/early-phase; hexarelin is not an FDA-approved drug. GH-release findings should not be extrapolated to unsupported claims about muscle gain, fat loss, recovery, or anti-aging.
