GHK-Cu modulates multiple cellular pathways including matrix metalloproteinase expression, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory cytokine modulation, partly via copper-dependent processes. Reported effects occur at nanomolar concentrations in vitro.

Research Overview
GHK is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) with high affinity for Cu2+, forming the GHK-Cu complex. Research, largely in vitro and in animal models, reports effects on collagen and glycosaminoglycan synthesis, angiogenesis, and anti-inflammatory signaling. GHK-Cu is used in cosmetic and wound-care research; it is not an FDA-approved drug.
